ACCOUNTING/FINANCE/ECONOMICS
Accounting Intern (Friedman & Huey)
Pay: $12/hr
Hours: 15-20 hours/week (flexible hours; Jan 9-April 15)
Location: Glenview
The intern will assist the accountants with various day-to-day tasks during the tax season such as: data
entry, basic bookkeeping, preparing spreadsheets, organizing tax documents, filing, and shredding. Basic
accounting and tax knowledge is preferred as well as knowledge of Microsoft Excel and word. The intern will
be trained to use Intuit accounting software Easy ACCT and QuickBooks pro, as well as Lacerte Tax
Software.
Tax Season Accounting Intern (Friedman & Huey)
Pay: $10/hr
Hours: 25-30 hours/week (min 5-6 hrs/day; Feb-April)

The intern will prepare individual tax returns. Candidates must have completed a tax course before
beginning the internship.
Branch Intern (Scottrade)
Pay: $10/hr

The intern will: listen to and shadow brokers in the office to see how they conduct business with clients; act
as a representative of Scottrade to clients that come directly to the branch for assistance, become familiar
with different departments and their functions, provide technical support for clients accessing Scottrade's
trading Platforms, utilize quote system to communicate information regarding stocks to clients, process stock
certificates and deposits, prepare paperwork for overnight delivery to St. Louis, and process branch mail,
understand and be able to communicate different types of client accounts, navigate through the internal
systems and become familiar with their uses, complete internal training program through Scottrade
University, participate in team building activities within the branch, and become proficient with the Microsoft
Office Suite.
Accounting Assistant (Rosen Management Services)

The intern will assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, year-end tax

We are offering an Internship program from May 15, 2017 - August 20, 2017 that will provide students with
the opportunity to expand their knowledge in the field of hospitality and determine whether they would like to
pursue a career in the restaurant industry. A Front of House Internship gives you the chance to experience
various responsibilities within a restaurant; it is not limited to just one position. Your main role will be as a
Server Assistant, based on your increased skillset your schedule will also include hosting, receiving and
shadowing a Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, and Food & Beverage Directors. During that time, you will
also have the opportunity to work alongside an Event Coordinator and Human Resources Manager at our
corporate office. Increased work performance throughout your internship will allow you to take on more

Account Developer Intern (State Farm Insurance Center)

The intern will work with project managers and staff on a variety of projects, such as: set up and

Customer Service Representative (Riddell Sports)

The intern will: assist with answering consumer inquiries by clarifying desired information, researching and
providing information; resolve issues by clarifying problems, exploring answers and alternative solutions and
implementing the best solution; enter order data; troubleshoot orders and shipping complications; and
research and resolves accounts receivable issues. Candidates must have excellent customer service skills
and be proficient with MS Office applications, primarily Excel and Outlook. These additional qualities are
desired: SAP experience, basic knowledge of sports and the associated equipment used with each individual

Our established North Suburban nationwide corporate event/production/destination management company
seeks an enthusiastic, part time, experienced sales representative. We are looking for a great door opener to
contact new sales prospects through dedicated telemarketing and networking. This hourly plus commissionbased position requires the development of new leads as well as monitoring the progress of the sales
program through detailed reports. Fully supported with marketing materials, you will be contacting
companies, introducing them to our organization, determining their upcoming meeting, tradeshow and event
needs along with setting appointments for further information. We are looking for someone who is reliable,
with excellent communication and presentation skills. Candidate should be a dynamic, motivated and
enthusiastic individual with experience in sales or telemarketing. Students can have a background in Public
Relations, Advertising, Theater or the Arts.

comfortable speaking to customers. This position is an Associate level role, ideal for someone with 1 year
experience and willing to grow with the organization! Skills Needed: Business Development, Sales, Sales
Strategy and Management, Sales and Marketing, and Enterprise Sales. This position is different from any
other internships available. As a sales director intern if chosen we are looking to you to implement and help
build strategies with the executive team of M0VE to further the acquisition of partners. Initially a part time
position within the 2 month internship program (shorter than other internship programs) we quickly help
develop the sales director intern for a more permanent and full time position.
Customer Service Internship (Abt Electronics)

Project Finance Intern (Solar Micronics)

Jr. Production Intern (William Frick)

We are looking for a production intern with a design and print/production background to collaborate in project
development processes with the production team. The intern will gain experience in operating digital print,
lamination, and cutting equipment; learn how to set-up digital production files for manufacturing; create files
in Adobe CC. Learn ISO 9001:2008 Certified Processes; gain familiarity with multiple print technologies;
learn how to create press-ready production files in .pdf, .tif, .psd and .pcx format; and learn to read and
create engineering/CAD drawings for manufacturing. Candidates should be experienced in Adobe CS or CC
Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign or Quark Xpress. Training provided in wide format RIP and digital cutting
and plotting systems.
Graphic Artist/Marketing Intern (Done Deal Promotions)

Graphic Designer/Social Media Intern (Bows Arts)

Graphics and Editing Intern (AAG)

The AAG Intern is responsible for designing and editing graphics for web and mobile apps in addition to
miscellaneous tasks related to creating apps. This position will require interaction with project managers.
Training will be provided for open source CMS, custom mobile app management, project management tools
and Google apps for internal use.
Assistant (Zimmerman Enterprises/Signs Plus)

Day to day duties will include aiding in the production of signage and vehicle graphics: using wide format
printers, laminating signs, applying lettering and prints to a variety of substrates, and wrapping a wide variety
of vehicles and surfaces. As an installer, you will work to ensure a high level of standards is maintained
regarding materials coming off the printer through the application process. Candidates must be able to lift 75
lbs and handle 60” x 120” materials. Experience with large prints, laminators, Roland printers, and Techno
Routers would be helpful.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
I.S. Intern (Maryville Academy)

This position will be divided 80% dedicated to researching OCR (optical character recognition) software that
will be integrated into our SharePoint 2013 portal environment. 20% that will be for managing I.S. help desk

Website Development Intern (Choice Furnishings)

The intern will: upload new marketing materials to website; add new section to website for new items; and
update existing website with new info and images. The intern will be expected to use: One & One, Go Daddy

Software Developer Co-Op Internship (Mitsubishi Electric Automation)

JensenIT is a leading information technology company seeking a talented web developer intern to assist in
backend/frontend management and creation of new websites and ongoing maintenance for existing sites.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, creative, and must have experience with web design and
development (minimum 1 year experience) with knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, and MySQL.
Additional consideration for candidates with skills in Graphic Arts (PhotoShop, Illustrator) and/or Copywriting

We are seeking computer savvy students to assist a small office with basic computer issues, cloud
computing, and cloud collaboration tasks. Candidates should have some coursework and experience with

exposed to at least small office computerized and basic cloud collaboration environment. The intern will be

Supplier Development Engineering Intern (MCI)

The intern will consolidate rejects and shipment data/stats from the top 100 suppliers at MCI, review all stats
with the SDE team internally and communicate with suppliers’ top management on a monthly basis (by
creating/formatting this date into letters and sending those letters to all 100 suppliers). Candidates should
have advanced excel (data filtering and manipulation) skills, basic statistics knowledge, and the ability to
work with remote location teams.
New Product Development Intern (MCI)

The intern will support our ongoing prototypes and work closely with the Design Engineers to produce clear
work instructions that will enable our techniques to carry out the prototype tasks. The intern must be able to

Fall Intern (Nancy Rotering for Congress)

Hours: 10-15 hrs/week (14-16 weeks; preferred start date of 8/26/15)
Location: Highland Park
The ideal intern will work with various teams to fundraise, market, and support Nancy Rotering’s candidacy.
They will gain a hands-on learning experience, build their resume, receive a mentorship, make a difference,
and be a part of a passionate team. While working in the office, interns will learn interpersonal skills,
planning and organization skills, and problem-solving skills, as well as learning about politics and campaigns
from a first-hand perspective.
