Chemical Name: (5alpha,17beta)-17-((tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)oxy)-2'H-Androst-2-eno(3,2-c)pyrazole Other Names: [3,2-c]Pyrazole-5alpha-androstano-17beta-tetrahydropyranol ether; [3,2c]pyrazole-etioallocholan-17beta-tetrahydropyranol ether Chemical structure: Molecular Formula: C25H 38N2O2 Pharmacological class / Application: steroid CAS-RN: 1186001-41-1 International status: US: Prostanozol is not currently listed in the CSA. However, according to the DEA website, the substance is a new designer steroid that is believed to be a more potent than testosterone, and is currently under review for inclusion under schedule III to the CSA1. United Nations: The substance is not listed on the Yellow List - List of Narcotic Drugs under International Control nor the Green List - List of Psychotropic Substances under International Control. Canadian Status: Prostanozol is not currently listed in the CDSA. The substance has been reported to be an ingredient in an nutritional supplement known as Win 50 and which marketed by Double Dragon pharmaceuticals2. “Anabolic steroids and their derivatives” are currently controlled under item 23 of Schedule IV to the CDSA. Therefore, until there is available unequivocal evidence to show that prostanozol produces anabolic effects, the substance it cannot be included under item 23 of Schedule IV to the CDSA.
