The Netherlands earned €20.5bn last year exporting goods and services to Britain; the
equivalent of 3% of GDP, according to new figures from the national statistics office CBS.

A Brexit will cost the Dutch economy €10bn over 15 years
A British withdrawal from the EU will cost the Dutch economy €10bn in lost income by 2030,
according to calculations by the government’s macro-economic think tank CPB. The drop
in trade with Britain will mount up to 1.2% of GDP within the next 15 years, the CPB said on
Thursday. The impact of a Brexit on the Netherlands will be larger than in many other
countries because of the close trading links.

Dutch economy grew 0.5 percent in first Quarter
The Dutch economy grew 0.5 percent in the first quarter of this year, compared to the last
quarter of 2015, according to figures Statistics Netherlands released on Friday. Compared
to the first quarter of 2015, the economy grew 1.5 percent in the first quarter. The preliminary
figures had the growth at 1.4 percent.

After Mauritius, now Indian government wants to amend Dutch tax treaty; asks Netherlands
to resume talks
NEW DELHI: India has asked the Netherlands to resume negotiations on amending their
bilateral tax treaty as the government extends its efforts to plug loopholes in such accords
to curb misuse. The Dutch tax treaty, which allows exemption from capital gains and a
lower rate of tax on dividends, has led to the proliferation of holding company structures.
