Safety instructions
WWARNIN
The electrical installation must be performed by a certified electrician in accordance with the electrical installation regulations published by the Association of German Electrical Engineers (VDE 0100) or the
standards and regulations of the country
in which the device is being installed. The
electrician must observe the installation
instructions included with the electrical
devices.
BAline MIO 3RPF
The BAline product line is a system consisting of individual
modules for room and building automation (such as sun
shading systems, lighting, windows, HVAC, etc.). Each
basic module (e.g. BAline LONMCM) for bus coupling can
be connected to up to 8 IO modules. The basic module
can be combined with one or more IO modules. With
this system, rooms can be automated in a wide variety of
ways.
The BAline MIO 3RPF module is an extension module for
switching and controlling
WWARNIN
If hazard-free operation cannot be
assumed, the device may not be commissioned or must be decommissioned. This
assumption is justified if
 The housing or the supply lines show
signs of damage
 The device is no longer working.
WWARNIN
For the save function of the entire plant it
is necessary that the drives, motor control
units and power supplies are harmonized.
Therefore please contact our project management before planning!
p to three 230 V AC consumers with a current conu
sumption of up to 16 A (cos φ = 1) each via floating
contacts.
The floating relay outputs with a high current relay are
suitable for lighting loads and can be loaded briefly with
up to 100 A.
The voltage supply of the power consumer is provided by
either 230 V AC or 24 V DC.
WWARNIN
The control software loaded at the factory
cannot be used for operation in a system.
The control software loaded at the factory
must be replaced by a system-related control software.
With the WAREMA BAline jumper, additional modules can
be connected. A maximum of 8 IO modules can be connected to the BAline basic module (e.g. BAline LONMCM).
Intended use
BAline MIO 3RPF is a device for controlling sun shading
system and 230 V AC consumers. The approval of the
manufacturer must be obtained for uses outside of the
purposes listed in these instructions.
Installation
The module is designed for distributor installation (DIN
rail-mounted housing (REG)).
When installing the device in a distributor, clip it
onto a symmetrical DIN rail (TH 35 according to
EN 60715: 2001). To ease connection of the device,
the terminal covers can be removed (see  Fig. 2).
Remove the terminal covers:
Insert a suitable screwdriver
into the notch.

Connection
Technical data
An on-site overload current protection device (fuse) and a
disconnecting and isolating switch to switch off the entire
system must be provided.
BAline MIO 3RPF
The module is electrically connected according to the
wiring diagram on the reverse (see Fig. 5).
Connection with BAline modules
Connect the BAline MIO 3RPF with a BAline basic module
(e.g. BAline LONMCM) or with other extension modules
(Fig. 3). On the basic module, always use the connection
on the right side.

Initial operation
After the installation has been completed and the supply
voltage is applied, the device can be taken into service.
For this purpose, the factory-loaded control software of
the BAline MCM must be replaced by a system-related
software. To create, test and load this system-related control software, use the BAline Studio PC software. After the
system-related control software is loaded, the extension
modules and the connected devices can be taken into
service.
NNOTE Take suitable precautions in order to avoid
damage through electrostatic discharges!
Maintenance
There are no parts within the device that require maintenance.

Failure to comply with the product information in these
instructions and use of the device in a manner that
contravenes its intended use and purpose may result in
the manufacturer refusing to honour warranty claims for
product damage. In this case, liability for secondary harm
to persons or damage to property will also be excluded.
