Transcript
TEUCRIUM CHAMAEDRYS ‘PROSTRATUM’
PROSTRATE GERMANDER
This selection of germander is
extremely low-growing, to about 6-8
inches in height. This tough, evergreen groundcover is native to the
rocky, dry hillsides of the Mediterranean. The glossy, dark green leaves
are small with serrated margins.
Spikes of pink-purple flowers adorn
the plants in the spring, and intermittently throughout the cooler parts of
the year. Plants respond well to pruning in the late winter months and tip
pruning to remove spent blossom
spikes is recommended. It prefers
well-drained soils.
