• Fast, easy and reliable data transfer from Tobit® Server into
various target formats
• Migration data is highly customizable
• Supports single user and batch mode migration. Manual steps
are reduced to a minimum.
• Applicable for the migration of single Tobit® Server as well as
for IT companies, who migrate Tobit® data many times
• No time limit for the program usage
• Extensive logging of the migration activities. Therefore it‘s
possible to review the migration at a later date
• Supports also older Tobit® versions (since version 6.6)

Usage of the Outlook® Mapi32.dll instead of the one from Tobit®
Support for Outlook® 2000 and higher (Outlook® 2003 recommended)

• Installation of the database tables (SQL Scripts are included)
• ODBC Datasource configuration
• Supported databases: MS SQL Server and Firebird. Other Databases on request

Installation

Check that the system requirements are fullfilled
– CDO installed
– Outlook® is standard mail client
– Installed version of Tobit® InfoCenter®
– Correct version of mapi32.dll
Start the File „Setup.exe“ on the workstation
Install an ODBC datasource (System DSN):
– Driver MS Access®
– Datasource name = Tobit2Exchange
– Database = Link to the database Tobit2Exchange.mdb. The
database is copied during the installation procedure into the target
directory.
– System database = leave this field empty
Check the user permissions for the David® Server and the target
format

How to use Outlook® Batch
Mode
• Open Mail Properties in Control Panel

Activate button „Show Profiles“
Click Add-button
Select manual configuration for information services
Specify profile name, e.g. Tobit2Exchange
Add PST information service
Specify a pst name and finish configuration
• Start Tobit2Exchange
– Select Outlook® als target format and specify the created profile
name
– Select Option „Create PST“ and specifiy the directory, in which the
created PST‘s will be saved
• Start Migration
– The Exchange® User Name will be taken as the name for the
created PST file
