-Christopher Columbus’s voyages led to lasting trade and contact between the Eastern and
Western hemispheres.
-Columbus inspires other Europeans to look to the west to settle and gain riches.
Exploration and The New World
-European explorers/conquistadors bring many diseases with them to the New World. This
causes many natives to die, especially the Aztecs.
