Levamisole
Banex
ChanaVerm
Amprolium is used for the
control of coccidiosis in swine
sheep and goats and In cattle,
has approval for the treatment
and prevention of Eimeria bovis
and E. zurnii
Levamisole is indicated for the
treatment of many nematodes
in cattle, sheep, swine and
goats. In sheep and cattle,
levamisole has relatively good
activity against abomasal
nematodes, small intestinal
nematodes, large intestinal
nematodesand lungworms.
Levamisole is less effective
against the immature
forms of these parasites, and is
generally ineffective in cattle
(but not sheep) against arrested
larval forms.
Fenbendazole
Hunter’s
solution
Indicated for use as an
anthelmintic in horses, sheep,
goats, swine, cattle.
Amprolium may
increase the risk of the
animal developing
polioencephalomalacia.
(especially sheep and
goats)
Not to be used in
animals producing milk
for human
consumption.
