Upright and narrow as a mature tree. Leaves are alternate, ovate, shiny, and leathery. Leaves turn red and purple in fall. Habitat: Full sun, minor shade Flowers: bloom in early Spring before leaves, white, 5petaled, ~1 in across Fruits: mature in fall, small, hard, brown Bark: Light brown to red-brown, smooth with lenticels when young, gray-brown with furrows when mature Bush Honeysuckle Lonicera maackii et al.
