POSITION OVERVIEW:
This job is responsible for selling group tickets for 3rd party events at the American Airlines Center and surrounding
venues. This includes but is not limited to the management of the Group sales process via Ticketmaster, overall
approval of group marketing materials including content and development and the promotion of group marketing
events using the website and e-mail communications systems. This position reports to the Director of Marketing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Actively seeks new group business to increase company revenue including events at other venues
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with promoters and group sales contacts for 3rd party events
• Creates, develops and distributes group marketing materials via e-mail, direct mail, flyer distribution and
website
• Builds and maintains relationships with promoters, concierge, and corporate contacts to determine new ways
to increase sales
• Manages and oversees the process for taking orders, printing, organizing and mailing group ticket orders
• Develops and determines how the event group sales budget is spent and provides proper back-up to the
Marketing and Group Sales Coordinator for event settlements
• Develops and maintains a comprehensive reporting system to identify and track sales from corporate
sponsors, concierge, SuperGroups, Ticketmaster splash pages and provide it annually to management
• Creates and maintains client database that includes email addresses and demographics
• Oversees and directs the updating of the group marketing database annually
• Assists the Marketing Director with other departmental functions as needed and occasionally assists the
marketing team with social media and marketing activities
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Public Relations/Communications or related field
• One to two years of previous experience in group sales or ticket sales; preferably in a family show industry
• Must have a strong knowledge of Ticketmaster
• Hands-on experience with a ticketing system such as Ticketmaster or Archtics is required
• Excellent Computer skills in Microsoft Office and knowledge of database management is required
• Minimum of one year of Box office experience is required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Ability to regularly stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance,
stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, smell and climb stairs
• Ability to lift and/or handle up to 25 pounds
• Ability to respond on an immediate basis during normal business hours, after hours and on weekends via
mobile phone is required/company phone allowance is provided on bi-weekly basis as compensation for this
job requirement/employee must purchase mobile phone and service plan of their own choosing with
responsibility for the repair and/or replacement of the phone
• Employees with this phone access requirement are not restricted in their movement, location, and activities
during off hours when they are not at work
