Network Engineer/Cloud Architect White Plains
We’re seeking a seasoned technical professional for the position of Network Engineer/Cloud Architect. This hands-on
position will serve as the cloud infrastructure/architect subject matter expert coupled with strong hands-on network
infrastructure/back office experience. Function as part of the core technology team accountable for the day-to-day
operation of the company’s core information technology infrastructure and end-user support. Core information
technology infrastructure and operations includes but is not limited to the reliable and secure functioning of
workstations, servers, client telecom and data networks which include telecom and data circuits, storage, network
servers and devices, security appliances, firewall, switches/routers, application servers, database servers, printing and
backup systems, and desktops. This position also provides support to end users as well as serving on-call rotation to
provide 7X24 technical supports. The qualified candidate must be a strong team player, demonstrated team lead
experience, works well in a high-pressure complex environment & proven hands-on experience across a wide spectrum
of cutting edge technology.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES















Interface with key technologist/visionary players within the organization to understand back office
hosting/technology requirements
Identify cloud hosting/service opportunities then architect/proposal an optimal and cost effective solution
Responsible for the installation, cabling, configuration, and support of workstations, servers, and networking
equipment
Maintains compliance for self and team with Information Security controls and best practices.
Implement & supporting storage, networking and security services in LAN, WAN, Telecommunications, & Inter/Intra
Nets infrastructure
Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining infrastructure documentation
Support of local as well as remote offices
Monitor and help with helpdesk and security related tickets
Performs performance analysis reviews on servers, storage, and network components
Responsible for creating and maintaining the day-to-day operational aspects of project tasks within scope of his
work
Serve as cloud subject matter expert, coaching, mentoring, working closely with peers and coworkers in other
departments
Participates in 7X24 on call rotation, as well as off-hour support for any issues that may arise
Manage enterprise applications responsible for server builds, patch management, virtual machine management,
virus scanning, et
Develop and maintain high standards in establishing procedures and policies
Travel if needed to other locations
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS










BS or BA (Preferred CIS/MIS) or equivalent experience
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a small business environment
Demonstrated experience at working well with senior/peer management and all levels of end users.
Ability to handle, mentor and supervise the completion of complex network administration tasks
Demonstrated, thorough knowledge of key protocols such as TCP, IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP, etc
Demonstrated knowledge of routing protocols, such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
Hands-on experience in design and implementation of enterprise networks & private/public or hybrid cloud
Experience in clouds orchestration/federation and supporting the move of servers and services to the cloud
Experience in the implementation and configuration security IDP/IPS, Firewalls, switches and routers, etc.
Ability to design and integrate hi-end Storage and Virtualization solutions in enterprise environments






5-8 years of relevant systems administration skills in a Microsoft environment required
4-6 years of relevant experience and skills in a VMWare 4.0+ environment required
Expertise in Windows Server and Workstation implementation, maintenance, and administration is required
Plan, Support, Design & Implement storage solutions in a highly available production environment
Firewalls/VPNs implementation & administration experience
Experience with workstation and network configuration, data backups and recovery management
