Marketing Executive role – Theatrical & Home Entertainment
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager
Overview
Metrodome Distribution are seeking a Marketing Executive to work within an innovative
and creative marketing team at one of the UK’s leading independent film distributors.
You will be responsible for assisting with the creation of marketing materials, overseeing
advertising, social media management and general campaign work. The ideal candidate
will have 1-2 years experience in film marketing.
Home Entertainment









Preparing creative briefs and overseeing the design and delivery of DVD sleeves,
ads and sales materials
Ensuring campaign and production deadlines are met
Managing and delivery of advertising copy across all media
Booking of agreed media plans with media agency
Ensuring all costs are entered into the production budgets
Market and product research
Creating innovative digital and social media campaign work to support releases
Working with and managing agencies assisting in aspects of the release
campaigns
Overseeing delivery of artwork to digital platforms
Theatrical









Working in consultation with the Senior Marketing Manager and Head of
Theatrical Marketing to help create and execute campaign plans
Working alongside the Senior Marketing Manager and Head of Theatrical
Marketing in the creative execution of print, AV, digital and outdoor campaign
work
Creating and executing campaign plans in consultation with the Head of
Theatrical
Dealing with agencies in the production of media and artwork
Maintaining and updating the P&A budget
Competitive product and consumer research
Coordinating grass roots activity around key titles
Liaising with cinema chain marketing departments, informing them of all media
activity, coordinating any tie-ins, production of any cinema materials
Attending and assisting the running of Metrodome events and screenings
including evening and weekend work on occasion




Talker screenings: Liaising with media partners and cinemas to run promotional
screenings
Promotions: getting brands and websites to tie in with different titles in order to
maximise coverage and organise competitions
Running asset placement on key websites where no external agency is employed
Executing any other bespoke below the line promotion as laid out in the
campaign plan

Maintaining company website alongside the Publicity Coordinator
Creating marketing materials for markets for the International Sales Agency
Maintaining social media sites to increase following and promote key events
Delegating relevant tasks to Interns/Runners
Skills/Requirements









Excellent administrative and IT skills including working knowledge of Microsoft
Office
Strong copywriting and proofreading skills
Proficiency with social media platforms
Creative flair – ability to use Photoshop a bonus
Strong project management skills with ability to work under pressure
Ability to work on projects without supervision
Ability to communicate well and complete tasks in a pro-active manner
Awareness of recent film marketing campaigns
Previous marketing experience essential
