Apple Trees (Malus domestica) Pear Trees (Pyrus) Paw Paw (Asimina triloba) Blueberry Bushes (Vaccinium) An order consists of one BuenOs II and one TangOs flat peach tree. These varieties have been developed at the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station at Rutgers University and are very productive and resistant to bacterial spot. BuenOs II is an outstanding yellow-fleshed peach with reddish skin. TangOs has yellow skin color and yellow-green flesh that is sweeter and juicier. Both have excellent size and firmness. An order consists of 1 Gale Gala and 1 Fuji apple tree. The trees are bare root whips which are approximately 4’ to 5’ tall and ½” to ¾” in diameter. Both varieties are well suited to the back yard grower. Gale Gala develops a 90-100% full red color with deep red striping. Fuji apples are crisp and very juicy with a sugary-sweet flavor that resembles that of freshly pressed apple juice. An order consists of 1 Sunrise and 1 Potomac pear tree. The trees are bare root whips, 4’ to 5’ tall. Sunrise has shown impressive resistant to fire blight. The fruit is yellow with a slight blush finish. Potomac is a moderately vigorous and resistant to fire blight. The flavor is pleasingly sub-acid with a mild aroma similar to Beurre D’Anjou. Plant two trees to ensure cross pollination. An order consists of 2, 1 year seedlings, 10-12 inches. A deciduous, often narrow conical tree growing 12-25 feet tall with dark green leaves that can grow up to 12” in length. The Paw Paw fruit is an oblong shaped fruit, light green in color, weighing 5-16 ounces and 3-6 inches in length. The inside has a creamy, custard texture varying in color from creamy-white to yellow-orange. The taste is described as a cross between a mango and a banana. Plant at least 2 trees for fruit production to ensure cross pollination. An order consists of one Chanticleer (Early) and one Liberty (Late) blueberry bush obtained from a local berry farm. Plants are of bearing age and with care, will develop large flavorful berries. Select a sunny, well-drained site with sandy or loamy soil. You may need to add soil amendments. Sold in pairs to provide cross-species pollination. Strawberry Plants (Fragaria) An order consists of 25 strawberry vine plugs. The flavorful variety is “Seascape” which is a late season ever-bearing strawberry. A good cropper. Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga mensiesii) An order consists of 5, 4 year seedlings ranging in height from 18-24 inches. Fast growing. Grows to 60 feet and has short, soft blue-green needles. Grows best in moist, well-drained soil. Will not do well in heavy, wet, clay soil. A popular Christmas Tree. This seed source has been proven to be highly resistant to Gypsy Moth. An order consists of 5, 2 year seedlings ranging in height from 18-24 inches. Grows to 20 -30 feet. White flowers in clusters, mid-June, after White Dogwood is finished blooming. This variety has proven to be resistant to the blight, which has infected many Dogwoods in the Northeast. An order consists of 5, 3 year seedlings ranging in height from 12-18 inches. Grows to a height of 20 to 30 feet with a spread of 25 to 35 feet. Flowers are reddish-purple in bud, opening to a rosy-pink with purplish tinge in early spring. Large, dark green, heart shaped leaves 3-5 inches long/wide. Chinese Dogwood (Cornus kousa var chinensis) Eastern Redbud (Cercis canadensis) Purple Coneflower (Echinacea purpurea) An order consists of 1 potted plant. A very robust perennial plant that grows to a height of 24-36” with a spread of 12-18”. The flower petals range in color from purple to lavender. Blooms all summer and into autumn. Plant in full sun or partial shade. Maintenance free. A butterfly favorite. Old Fashioned Lilac (Syringa vulgaris) An order consists of 1 potted plant ranging in size of 15”-18”. Dense, vigorous growth to 15’ with a spread of 6’-10’. Masses of very fragrant, light lavender flowers in late spring. Makes a wonderful flowering screen, space 6’ apart. An order consists of one large leaf Rhododendron plant. Size, depending on variety, can range from 6”-18” in a one gallon pot. You pick your color choice. Will bloom late May to early June. Leaves are large, dark green year round. Grown at a local farm.
