Grew as a theatre artist through opportunities to perform, direct, and collaborate with fellow students, staff
and local professionals. Co-founded The Group Studio, a student organization designed to self-produce
theatrical works at professional venues. Created and directed Random Acts, an improv entertainment
troupe, now celebrating its 12th year of regular performance at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House
LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY/C.W. POST CAMPUS
Undergraduate Credit – BFA Acting
1994-1995
Conservatory-style training in acting styles ranging from classical to contemporary. Inducted into Phi Eta
Sigma, National Collegiate Honor Society. Featured performer at the 27th annual American Theatre
Festival as Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, under the direction of Patrick Tucker.

Level 1 – 4 Long Form Improv Comedy Training

Studied and performed improv style developed by Del Close. Helped to design and implement a budget and
itinerary for the first tour of The Mobile Assault Unit.

 Created and implemented Theatre Arts curriculum for Drama Majors and Non-Major students in

improv comedy and sketch troupe.

 Converted a former department store into a 150 seat performing arts venue.
 Produced 18 plays, with over 700 performances, from adaptations to original productions and a
reinvention of Random Acts, coining the phrase “ImproVariety.”
 Created Square Roots Children’s Theater, which included an original Commedia dell’Arte company.
