Digital and Social Marketing Manager Pittsburgh, PA Diamond Kinetics Diamond Kinetics (http://www.diamondkinetics.com) is actively commercializing a revolutionary new technology platform to improve player performance in both baseball and softball. Leveraging an exclusive license to issued and pending patents from the University of Michigan and the University of Pittsburgh, Diamond Kinetics is able to provide real time quantitative data, mechanics feedback and training guidance to drive performance improvement. We provide all of this via mobile and web applications in an effort to create a dynamic new community for players and coaches centered around motion data. Job Function and Purpose The Digital and Social Marketing Manager develops and implements marketing strategies and tactics to ensure achievement of Diamond Kinetics’ business and brand goals. Their responsibilities include Diamond Kinetics’ products as well as the Diamond Kinetics player/coach online community. They are the owner of all things digital and social and the voice of the brand in those channels. Success in this role is defined by: driving brand awareness, affinity and engagement, consistent delivery of the brand strategy, maximizing brand revenue and always being a step ahead of the competition. Key Responsibilities Understand the Market and Competition • • • Analyze the marketplace, customers and competitors to determine the optimal messaging and content for the digital and social channels Lead the organization’s digital and social competitive analyses as well as ongoing social media and consumer review monitoring and response Prioritize organization’s digital and social efforts to always remain ahead of the competition Develop Digital and Social Strategies and Plans • • • • Own and lead the digital and social marketing strategy, coordinating with stakeholders across the organization Build and execute target-relevant, digitally savvy online and social marketing programs to achieve business and brand objectives. Execute the brand voice and graphic standards across digital and social executions Working with the development team and other stakeholders, update and maintain the organization’s website, including all content, promotions, graphics, e-commerce and related back-end functionality Create Innovative and Engaging Content • • • Develop and implement a world-class digital and social experience that engages and delivers value to players, coaches and partners Generate compelling content and execute a regular schedule of engaging digital and social execution; encourage player and coach generated content Regularly share insights gained from digital and social monitoring with internal and external partners to help them evolve and improve their strategies Execute Plans that Achieve Company and Brand Objectives • • • • Identify, develop and nurture relationships with key influencers to support the organization and effectively deliver key brand messages Write, review and support development of marketing copy for the digital and social channels Create and manage online marketing campaigns and promotional programs Ensure all content is in alignment with organization’s objectives and values as well as compliance with all regulatory and legal boundaries Manage Budgets and External Partners • • Develop budgets for area of responsibility and projects within; deliver results within budget and on-time and hold outside partners accountable for the same Manage outside partners and cross functional teams to support the development and maintenance of the organization’s website and other digital marketing initiatives Monitor and Improve Performance and Satisfaction • • • Continually set, measure and optimize against relevant benchmarks for site visits, ad campaigns, search terms, social media metrics and other key measures Manage the organization’s e-commerce programs; ensure high level of customer satisfaction and compliance within regulatory, legal and financial boundaries Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of new initiatives and campaigns Keep the Company at the Forefront of Digital and Social Technology • • • • Serves as the digital, e-commerce and social media subject matter expert within the organization ensuring all efforts are best in class and continually ahead of the competition Works with internal and external partners to reflect current needs and the best information within organization’s digital and social ‘footprint’ Tracks best in class practices across the broader digital and social landscape bringing those into the organization Continually seeks out information on emerging technologies and other relevant information in the digital and social landscape and integrates into organization’s operations Competencies and Experience Competencies Required • • • • • • Champion Change and Innovation Apply Technical/Functional Expertise Use Financial Acumen and Sound Judgment Establish and Manage to Action Plans Drive for Results Communicate Effectively Experience Required • • • • • • • • B.A., B.S. or equivalent degree in Business, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent field of study 3-5 years of consumer product/service industry experience with track record of success in digital marketing and social media management Deep knowledge of, and demonstrated success in, building brands on the web and in social media Solid background in SEO, SEM, digital advertising and paid search Skilled at integrating multiple media formats across digital platforms (e.g. – video) Understanding of, and experience in, online commerce including own website, amazon.com and other third party websites Highly adept in Google Analytics and Google AdWords Highly proficient in MS Office, WordPress, managing multiple WordPress plugins, CRM systems and social media tracking/measurement tools Additional Desired Experience • • • MBA a plus Experience marketing a consumer technology (mobile, web) Website development familiarity including web design, HTML, CSS and JavaScript Start-up and/or early-stage company experience Played competitive level amateur baseball or softball • • Additional Information • • • • • Unique, exciting opportunity to work in an angel/venture backed early stage company Flexible work environment Competitive compensation package Overnight travel may be required for this position but it is expected to be very infrequent Diamond Kinetics is an equal opportunity employer If interested, please send resumes to [email protected]
