Why Britain should
leave the EU
(VOTE LEAVE)
SOVEREIGNTY
Britain’s membership of the European Union is unconstitutional for several reasons:
It contradicts the Bill of Rights Act 1689 which provided for freedom of speech and debate and
that proceedings in Parliament “ought not to be impeached or questioned in court or any place
out of Parliament”.
It is in breach of the Act of Settlements 1700 section 4 which states that “the laws of England
are birth right of the people”
Membership of the EU is also in breach of the Magna Carta which provides that “no free man
shall be disseised of his liberties of free customs nor will we not pass upon him but by law of the
land.”
Economy
Membership of the EU cost Britain £13 billion in 2015. In comparison, we only
got £4.5 billion back in EU investment, leaving us £8.5 billion out of pocket.
With £8.5 billion we could:
Build a modern hospital every week
Buy 1 249 500 state pensions
Being in the EU restricts our trading opportunities with Brazil, China, USA and
the commonwealth, which comprises some 15 per cent of world GDP, 54
member states and two billion citizens.
Immigration
So everyone is now going to start throwing the “racist” card at us. But being in the EU does give us
immigration problems. WE ARE NOT AGAINST IMMIGRATION BUT WE SAY WE NEED TO CONTROL IT!
In the EU, all the EU citizens have the right to move to the UK regardless of skill needs. This has
resulted in the equivalent of a new city the size of York arriving every year.
With easier travel for North African countries and the prospect of Turkey’s 79 million citizens being
given the right to work in the EU, the scale of uncontrolled immigration is likely to worsen
considerably unless the UK withdraws rapidly
Sir Richard Dearlove the former Head of MI6 said in a magazine article that:
“the truth about Brexit from a national security perspective is that the cost to Britain would be low.
Brexit would bring two potentially important security gains: the ability to dump the European
Convention on Human Rights – remember the difficulty of extraditing the extremist Abu Hamza of the
Finsbury Park Mosque – and, more importantly, greater control over immigration from the European
Union.”
Final points
So you know our arguments. You know the facts. Vote Remain has no
facts; just a smear campaign!
We should leave the EU for five main reasons:
•1.
Freedom to make stronger trade deals with other nations.
•2. Freedom to spend UK resources presently through EU membership in the UK to the advantage
of our citizens.
•3. Freedom to control our national borders.
•4. Freedom to improve the British economy and generate more jobs.
•5. Freedom to save the NHS from EU threats to undermine it by harmonising healthcare across
the EU, and to reduce welfare payments to non-UK EU citizens.
