All over the body. Heart – the heart Pumps blood around the body. Lungs-the lungs suppley oxygen to the heart You can get a block in your veins or arteries. Your arteries can get brittle and burst. You can get a weak or tired heart. . Could a person survive without your body system why/why not? • You would not survive because you would not have blood pumping through your body and Not able to breath What does this body system do The heart has a left side that pumps blood with oxygen Into your body .The right side pumps deoxygenated Blood into the lungs to pick up oxygen . The heart delivers oxygen to the brain and tissues and all the other organs in your body . The heart pumps blood all over the body . With out your heart you would not be alive . It also pumps blood through your veins and arteries . The heart is a muscle that about 70 times a minute, contracks and relaxes to make a heart beat . Your heart beats 100,000 times a day . Each heart pump in your body pumps about 2 ounces of blood . This results in about 13,000 quarters of blood is being pumped each day in your life . The heart is divided into four chambers . These are called right atrium, left atrium, right ventricle and the left ventricle . The circulatory system cleans your blood and helps you breath . The main function in your circulatory system is the heart . If you didn’t have a heart you will die because it pumps blood , oxygen and energy around the body.
