to the heart
You can get a block in your
veins or arteries.
Your arteries can get brittle
and burst.
You can get a weak or tired
heart.
.
Could a person survive without your body system
why/why not?
• You would not survive because you would not
have blood pumping through your body and
Not able to breath
What does this body system do
The heart has a left side that pumps blood with oxygen
Into your body .The right side pumps deoxygenated
Blood into the lungs to pick up oxygen . The heart
delivers oxygen to the brain and tissues and all the
other organs in your body . The heart pumps blood all
over the body . With out your heart you would not be
alive .
It also pumps blood through your veins and arteries .
The heart is a muscle that about 70 times a minute,
contracks and relaxes to make a heart beat . Your
heart beats 100,000 times a day . Each heart pump in
your body pumps about 2 ounces of blood . This
results in about 13,000 quarters of blood is being
pumped each day in your life . The heart is divided
into four chambers . These are called right atrium, left
atrium, right ventricle and the left ventricle . The
circulatory system cleans your blood and helps you
breath . The main function in your circulatory system
is the heart .
If you didn’t have a
heart you will die
because it pumps
blood , oxygen and
energy around the
body.
