Participated in updating and revising the curriculum in 2003. Chairman - Development Committee, Pediatric Resident Continuity Clinic Curriculum, (1 meeting/month), 1993-1997. The committee’s charge was to develop a curriculum for the pediatric resident’s continuity clinic rotation including the development of goals and objectives, new methods of implementation and teaching, a written examination, a clinical skills check list, and an evaluation process and materials for both residents and faculty. Member - Development Group, Resident Education Protocol for Clinical Evaluation and Management of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, 1995. The group’s charge was to develop an evaluation/management/educational tool to serve three purposes: 1) clinical evaluation, 2) resident teaching, and 3) parent/teacher/patient education for children seen in outpatient clinics and suspected to have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. This tool is currently used in multiple clinical teaching sites. Updated and revised 1998/1999. Contributor - Tuberculosis section of the revised Pediatric Student Clerkship Manual, 1998. Member – Development Group, Resident Education Packet and Curriculum for Ambulatory Clinic Rotation. The group’s charge was to develop a curriculum and packet of materials for second and third year pediatric and medicine/pediatric residents for education purposes during their ambulatory rotation. This group’s charge was to update and review comprehensive clinical protocols and management guidelines for the level I nursery used at Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital and Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. Leader – Development group, evidence based clinical pathways and standardized order sets for in-patient pediatrics. The group’s charge is to develop pathways and standardized patient orders for common pediatric in-patient diagnoses in coordination with the MHCH Emergency Department, in-patient Hospitalist group and MHCH nursing and support staff. The pathways are shared with the LBJ Pediatric service as well as MHHS sister hospitals. 2004- 2007.
