Job Description JOB TITLE: Marketing Executive, IEB LOCATION: Cambridge BAND: G SUMMARY OF POST: The role of the Marketing Executive is to develop and implement the marketing communications, actively and output for the International Education Business for the specific list areas they are responsible for (MENA, Central/South Africa and the Science and Humanities subject areas. This role will work closely with other marketing team members to develop blended cross-channel marketing plans and activities. The role should also incorporate customer research to drive considered decision making on a project basis. The role consists of five main areas: Prepare and effectively deliver to budget annual and six-month MENA/Africa cross – channel marketing plans for products, subjects and events, using a quarterly review process to assess effectiveness and plan any changes required due to changing circumstances Develop and manage key strategic relationships with external partners such as Cambridge International Examinations to improve workflows and ensure maximum commercial benefit is gained from such relationships Produce marketing collateral to support the strategic plans which are on message, on brand, accurate and incorporate tracking mechanisms for reporting and analysis Ensure events in your territory or specific to your list areas are effectively marketed to relevant customer segments and that events are maximized to drive footfall/increase sales leads/aid data capture Produce monthly reports to surmise actions and results, including areas for improvement/lessons learned and competitor analysis as well as an update on the budget status KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Marketing Executive, IEB Education – July 2013 Take ownership of the marketing plan, liaising with the Associate Marketing Manager and communicating with relevant internal teams to ensure the process and expectations are managed Collaborate with the Associate Marketing Manager for guidance and insight on best practice to maximize effectiveness for activities Produce and manage email marketing campaigns for designated territory/event/list areas, including reporting on results Collaborate with the Events Coordinator to deliver exhibitions and events, including attending as staff and for research purposes Plan and coordinate direct mail with the Associate Marketing Manager and the Marketing and Events Coordinator to ensure the best price is achieved whilst maintaining quality and timely dispatch Manage and maintain the publishing system profiles for set list areas Make effective use of the Sprit CRM system/ISC database and other databases for data mining and recording marketing information Represent marketing in partner relationship development (i.e. CIE) Manage and implement a six-monthly report detailing our market position, candidate data and competitor activity for the area of the business you are responsible for Working alongside Publishing colleagues, instigate and lead market research on a project basis to help the business determine and develop new print and digital product in the area you are responsible for Instigate market research to define plans to support increased penetration in the target market Work closely with ELT and Academic counterparts on best practice marketing, research and intelligence Investigate and report on branch-level marketing output aiming to influence and improve local activities for the list areas you are responsible for ADDITIONAL DUTIES: To carry out any other duties which might be reasonably expected of you by your immediate manager or a director.
