BODY SYSTEMS CIRCULATORY SYSTEM DIGESTIVE SYSTEM RESPIRATORY SYSTEM CIRCULATORY SYSTEM CIRCULATORY SYSTEM • The circulatory system moves blood • Blood gives our body nutrients and oxygen CIRCULATORY SYSTEM • Blood goes from the heart around the body THE HEART • The heart is divided into four parts: • The left and right atriums • The left and right ventricles CIRCULATORY SYSTEM • Blood passes through the arteries and veins. RESPIRATORY SYSTEM RESPIRATORY SYSTEM • The respiratory system is a group of organs that work together to help us breathe RESPIRATORY SYSTEM • We breathe in air through our nose and mouth RESPIRATORY SYSTEM The air goes down into our lungs AIR RESPIRATORY SYSTEM • Oxygen is passed to the circularory system • We breathe in oxygen (O2) • We breathe out carbone dioxide (CO2) DIGESTIVE SYSTEM DIGESTIVE SYSTEM • The digestive system is a group of organs that work together to help us digest food DIGESTIVE SYSTEM • We take in food through the mouth DIGESTIVE SYSTEM • Food passes down into our stomach and intestine STOMACH INTESTINE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM • The intestine separates the nutrients from the waste DIGESTIVE SYSTEM • The intestine expels the waste from our body • The nutrients are passed to the circulatory system, where they move around the body
