ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
I undertook this internship project and completed the internship report under the guidance of
Dr. Nimai Pada Mandal Sir, Assistant Professor, National Institute of Technology, Patna. I'm
grateful to Sir for his patience and assistance during my internship under his guidance. It was a
good learning experience for me to work with his vision, as the project involved many
innovative work.
• INTRODUCTION:
• Hydrostatic transmission system is a hydraulic system where the hydraulic pump
or an accumulator will drive the motor using the fluid passing through flexible
hoses. In hydrostatic transmission, gears are not required for converting rotating
mechanical energy from one source to another.
• A hydraulic accumulator is a pressure vessel that performs many tasks in a
hydraulic system. They are used to maintain pressure, store and recapture
energy, reduce pressure peaks, power chassis suspensions, and dampen shock,
vibration and pulsations.
• A bladder type accumulator, sometimes known as a hydro-pneumatic
accumulator, is a metal tank that contains a rubber bladder filled with
compressed gas. There is also a poppet valve in the discharge port and a gas
valve used to precharge the bladder.
