Passengers should stay (5 marks) inside the vehicles until the earthquake is over. ‧ Passengers taking elevators should leave as soon as possible. ‧ People in tunnels should leave under safe circumstances and move to an open space. When the earthquake is over: ‧ Check casualty and damage. Seek help immediately if necessary. ‧ If gaseous fuel leakage is suspected, open the window and turn off the main switch. Leave the building and report to the respective authority. Do not ignite anything or make calls at the scene. ‧ If water or electricity supply facilities are damaged, turn off the main switch. ‧ Do not use telephone unless to report emergency or seek help. ‧ If a building is severely damaged, it may collapse in an aftershock. People should leave immediately and report to the respective authority. (3 marks)
