Rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis.

Factors affecting the test
In comparison to biopsy proven cases of GBM disease, ELISA tests for anti-GBM
antibodies have been shown to have a clinical diagnosis agreement of 97 percent, a
sensitivity of 87 percent and a specificity of 98 percent. A small number of patients
with other renal diseases - systemic vasculitis, SLE and mixed connective tissue
disease may exhibit borderline titres.
