Research program on the interactions between neuroscience and psychoanalysis
supported by Agalma Foundation in Geneva
- Fellowships available for graduate students.
- Fellowships available for visiting scientists for periods of 3 to 6 months.
Topics of research include:
- Unconscious processes
- Somatic markers, interoception and homeostatic processes
- Neuronal plasticity, neuronal assemblies, reconsolidation and associative processes
- Functional brain imaging
- Default mode network
- Reward circuits
- Auto-organizing systems, modeling
These topics will provide the framework within which to develop research projects focusing
on theoretical, experimental and clinical neurosciences in relation to psychoanalysis
Requirements :
For the graduate program, students must have successfully completed a Master program in
neuroscience, psychology, biology, medicine, computer sciences or other disciplines related
to the topics of research
For visiting scientists, candidates should in principle have an MD or PhD degree and have an
interest in the relationship between neuroscience and psychoanalysis
Candidates should send their CV with a letter of motivation and career perspectives.
