I am part of an organization called Rutgers BRAIN. Our mission is to advocate for research and awareness of neurological and psychological diseases/disorders. We are hosting various events during the week of March 20th which is called “Brain Awareness Week.” One of our events is “BRAIN Blast” which will be on Wednesday, March 22nd at 7:30 pm in the Busch Campus Center International Lounge. BRAIN Blast will serve as an opportunity to hear from undergraduate researchers in the Rutgers community. We would like to invite student speakers whose research projects are connected to topics about the brain in any way. This can include neuroscience, psychology, mental health, or cognitive science. We would also encourage students not directly related to these fields to present their research if they can relate their projects to neuroscience. This would demonstrate our mission of presenting that the brain can be related to everyone in various fields. We would greatly appreciate it if you could convey to this to the Psychology community. If interested, we ask that each student speak for about 3 minutes regarding their projects and how it ties in with neuroscience. This is very similar to the Aresty Slam Presentations and 3-minute Thesis Presentations. It will be a casual event that is meant for other students to learn about the different types of research offered at Rutgers. Please let me know if you have any questions. Sincerely, Neha Narayanan Rutgers BRAIN Treasurer
