Post-doctoral position at INSERM UMR1011-Lille
Transcriptional regulation by nuclear receptors in obesity-related diseases
Research project: Our laboratory, which is part of the European Genomic Institute for
Diabetes (EGID, Lille, France), studies obesity-related diseases including diabetes and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. We rely on long-lasting experiences in biochemistry, molecular
biology and functional genomics together with access to state-of-the-art technologies to
investigate transcriptional regulatory programs involving nuclear receptors in key metabolic
organs (liver, adipose tissue…). Using a combination of in-vitro cellular and animal models,
we aim to define the role exerted by nuclear receptors in the pathophysiology of these obesityrelated diseases.
Candidate profile: We are seeking a highly motivated post-doc who should have a PhD in
molecular biology with backgrounds in the study of transcriptional regulation. His/her project
will involve investigation of transcriptional regulatory networks and epigenome using both
cell-lines and mouse tissues. Experience and interest for analyses of genomic data issued from
high-throughput sequencing technologies or microarrays would be a strong asset. Indeed, in
close interaction with both bioinformaticians and biologists from our laboratory, the
successful candidate will leverage omics data in order to identify novel regulatory pathways
involving nuclear receptors in obesity-related diseases.
