What is a Marketing major?
The University of Denver’s program in Marketing focuses on the process of planning and executing the
conception, pricing, promotion, and distribution of ideas, goods and services to create exchange that
satisfy individual and organizational objectives. In order to satisfy buyers and sellers, marketing seeks
to discover and fulfill the needs and wants of prospective customers.
Common careers for Marketing majors:
With a deep understanding of the marketing process, many Marketing majors go on to work in areas of
advertising, colleges/universities, market research firms, banking firms, and media firms.
