Having diabetes impacts on the school day as it demands regular blood glucose tests, managing blood glucose levels that are either too low or too high, giving insulin with all food eaten and managing exercise. At times, the student may need support from school staff, with younger children requiring more support and supervision. These workshops are designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to provide this support. Please note, if you attended our training for schools in January, there is no need to attend this study day in September, as it will cover the same content. We are running three study days in September 2017 supporting children and young people who use either pen injections or insulin pump to manage diabetes. Please see dates below and using the appropriate links to book online via event bright.
