Job Description Post: Business Development Intern Responsible to: Director of Business Development Responsible for: Supporting CXK’s Business Development & Marketing Team and associated activities Location: Ashford Salary: £12,382 per annum Benefits: Stakeholder Pension Scheme Job Summary: Working as part of the Business Development and Marketing Team you will support the Director of Business Development by providing administrative, research and bid/tender writing support to maintain and improve CXK’s business development process. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Scoping for new opportunities for business development using various tender and grant portals; attending weekly opportunity filtering meetings with Business Development Manager and inputting information into the business development database Support the Director of Business Development in preparing tender and grant applications. Contribute to writing high quality tenders and support the bid writing process by developing action plans for the completion of bids and tenders work with the Director of Business Development to support staff as they contribute to the bid writing process and collate contributions Work across departments to compile service and project information to input into tender and grant applications Proofing of grant and tender applications prior to submission Provide general administrative assistance to the business development and marketing team including the preparation and taking of minutes of the Business Development Committee and team meetings Conduct research into local/National policy and demographic data to support funding applications and tenders Monitor and analyse the political and policy environment and to identify opportunities and threats for policy affecting young people Support the Chief Executive and Senior Management Team by researching, interpreting, prioritising and feeding back information promptly on all matters of importance. Part of this work will involve the research and writing of a briefing paper for government policies. To undertake any other duties that may be required from time to time.
