Students will get in-depth knowledge of Novel Target Sites and duggable targets as well as target organ toxicity Course Contents/Syllabus: Weightage (%) Module I Pharmacology Research Proposal 10 Introduction, Sources and types of funding, Types of proposals, Necessary ingredients in an application, Fatal flaws and common problems, Budgets, Resources, Collaborators, Reviewing and Acceptance proposal, Responsible conduct, confidentiality and conflicts of interest. Role of search engines and literature for successful research proposal Module II Advanced drug discovery tools and techniques Computer added drug design (CADD), Electrophoresis and blotting techniques, DNA sequencing techniques, Flow Cytometry, Genomics, High throughput screening (HTS), Immunohistochemistry, Liquid chromatography mass 30 spectrometry (LC-MS), Microarray, Microscopy, Patch clamp Technique, Proteomics, Radio ligand binding) Polymerase chain reaction (PCR), Module III Systems & Computational Pharmacology 20 Systems-level understanding of human disease. Computational pharmacology: analysis of large genomic and proteomic data sets; to design novel molecular tools to probe and perturb cellular function, quantitative image analysis and develop predictive models of complex cellular processes.
