About Achievement First:
Achievement First is a non-profit charter school management organization that is creating a network of
achievement gap-closing public schools in Rhode Island, New York, Connecticut and other high-need
areas in the Northeast. Achievement First currently operates 35 schools in Providence, Brooklyn, New
Haven, Bridgeport and Hartford. Over 90% of our students are Black and Latino. Over the next five years,
Achievement First plans to open 10-15 additional schools, spanning the full K-12 spectrum and creating
college-prep opportunities for more than 14,000 students. Beyond our students and schools,

Summary:
The Achievement First recruitment team works to ensure that the highest quality mission-aligned
educators join the Achievement First network. The Data and Strategy Coordinator will manage existing
projects and new initiatives relating to our application management system, oversee the team’s data
tracking, reporting and analysis, and take on administrative tasks for the recruitment team as we scale
to support 35 schools. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with an energetic, fast-moving
team and gain insight into recruitment practices, systems and scaling strategies, education reform, and
the work of a variety of AF’s teams. It is ideal for someone who already has exceptional detail
orientation and now wants to “think bigger” by taking on larger projects, interacting with key players
across the organization and solving organizational challenges as AF prepares for growth.
Responsibilities of the Data and Strategy Coordinator will include but are not limited to:
Data Analysis & Reporting:
● Analyze data and create presentations for team meetings to effectively communicate updates
and share newly identified trends.
● Track progress towards annual goals and compare to previous years.
● Respond to routine data requests and answer questions from AF leadership on recruitment
progress towards goals.
● Complete comprehensive end-of-season (EOS) data analysis of the recruitment season
Systems Management:
● Act as system administrator for Job Science (Salesforce), the team’s applicant tracking system.
● Serve as a critical thought partner to team leaders, identify challenges and develop solutions in
how to continually adapt our systems to our evolving needs.
● Lead training sessions on upcoming systems updates as well as other policies the team may
need refreshers and/or clarifications on.
● Maintain knowledge management documents for the team to refer to (i.e. guidebooks in
OneNote and Google Drive on how to execute processes with intricate details).
Onboarding (Human Capital):
● Own verification and communication of new hire onboarding files (i.e. years of experience,
degree level, compensation, start date, and Teacher Career Pathway stage).
● Author monthly new staff newsletter that aggregates pertinent new hire and onboarding
information (i.e. training dates, news about AF, gather referrals).
Planning and Administrative Support:
● Manage all planning and implementation of monthly team meetings in Connecticut.
● Participate in “coordinator cohort” for professional development and learn best practices.
● Perform additional administrative tasks (i.e. reimbursements, processing invoices, voicemail
responses and materials preparation for conference calls and meetings).
Skills and Characteristics:
● Highly motivated, organized, results-oriented individual with strong communication and project
management skills
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; flexible, able to work
autonomously as well as take direction as needed
● Extremely detail-oriented and organized with proven system to manage tasks
● Maturity, humility, strong work ethic, sense of humor, and “roll -up-my-sleeves” attitude
● Belief in the Achievement First mission and educational model
● Solid technical skills and advanced experience with Excel, PowerPoint and Google Docs
Educational Background and Work Experience:
● Required:
○ Bachelor’s degree
○ 1-3 years of work experience
● Preferred:
○ Experience in operations and data management
Weekend/evening work will be required and some travel between Connecticut, Rhode Island and
New York will be requested.
Compensation:
Salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. Additionally, Achievement
