Come up with the solutions of social problems!
Dear Friends!
We are glad to invite you to participate in the 12th «ART.START», the International Youth
Festival of Social Advertising!
ART.START is organized by Moscow Finance and Law University and supported by the
Moscow Department of Culture and the Department of Mass Media and Advertising.
ART.START discusses the most up-to-date objectives of the society:
Breaking up with addictions
Healthy lifestyle
Feel involved, become a volunteer
Promotion of education and critical thinking
Tolerance to different cultures and care for each-other
Ecological issues
How to solve them?!
The ART.START festival is a significant project, able to incorporate innovative ideas of
solving social problems. It is also helpful for the younger generation to freely express ideas
and implement the most prompt projects through advertising!
We welcome ambitious and creative students, as well as young professionals in the field of
advertising, design and art.

ART.START – 2016
“The youth’s view on today’s issues”
Main nominations:
1.
External and printed advertisement – advertising panels, boards, displays,
street banners, 3D letters and signs, informational stands and etc.
Full-size original works are accepted or design-samples in .jpg-format. Image size is not
less than 800*600 px.
2.
Video advertisement – commercial, video clips.
The competition admits only video clips with timing up to 3 minutes or TV-works in .avi,
.mpg, .mov format with resolution not less than 800*600, Stereo sound.
3.
Social advertising campaign includes: athletics, cultural, education,
entertainment; fleshmob. Innovative proposal based on the organization if special programs,
directed on solving social problems.
Text containing campaign’s concept. It includes the following parts: the title-page, the table
of contents, introduction (1 page), goals and objectives, brief description of campaign’s
concept (max. 5 pages), campaign’s dates, approximately budget. Or a presentation in
PowerPoint or Adobe Reader (.PDF). This presentation must content main ideas of the
campaign and also a visual part of the concept.
Special nominations:
1.
Architectural solution of social problem – architectural project.
For participating in the competition you must provide an unreleased project on social
improvement of neighborhood. You need to attach a photo of location, where the project is
to be released (specifying address), the description of the project and explanatory note
with problem’s description, ways of its solution and expected results. Competitive work
must be presented as a project (AutoCAD/ ArchiCAD) and/or a sample with all the
technical characteristics.
