There were many consequences of the Cold War, both positive and negative. Evaluate the origins, setbacks,
and successes of the American policy of “containing” the Soviet Union and Communism in general.
The consquences of the Cold war were negaitve and positive. There were many things that were positive
about the Cold War. They were always trying to contain the Soviet Union with their nuclear weapons. They
also had tensions with China that could of went bad pretty quick. The Cold war was a negative and positive
outcome.
Both government's thought their political ideas were the way forward. The U.S believed in a democratic way
of government allowing the civilians to vote for there political party to govern the country in a democratic
election system. People were allowed to make private businesses, own private property the right to earn a
profit, ect. This had a positive impact towards the citizens of America because they had the rights to enjoy
their freedom, the rights of equality.
During the cold war then tensions with China grew more and more. They were growing more and more
because we were working our way to the mainlands of China to try and make sure that it wouldn't become a
communist country. We had battles to try and make sure that they wouldn't get a communist government so
that made them very mad and made the tensions grow a lot.
They had real positive outcome to the war. Was that they got some good treatys signed by the other
countries. They ended up containing the Soviet Union by shutting down their Nuclear program. The tensions
bewtween China were resolved with a treaty that woudl make them friends with the China and the U.S.
