Summary
Born in Bangalore, I completed my MBBS and MS from CMC Vellore,
before moving to Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre, New
Delhi for my cardiac surgery training, where I gained wide exposure to
the practical aspects of cardiovascular surgery; my publications in
indexed-journals is evidence of my academic credentials.
In 2011, in order to start operating independently, I moved to Dhaka,
were I was the Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Z H Sikder Womens
Medical College in Dhaka till June 2012. Thereafter, I was offered a
Senior Consultant post in the Fortis Healthcare system at Raigarh,
Chattisgarh, which is where I am currently serving.

this facility, which also has one cardiologist, in a backward region of
Chattisgarh. I initiated the cardiac surgical programme here, virtually
from scratch and have had the responsibility of initiating all systems of
preop, intraop and postop patient management and nursing care. We
are now routinely performing cardiac surgery at this centre, the first in
northern Chattisgarh
