20cm LED BULKHEAD
NOTE – To comply with regulations, installation must be carried
out by qualified electrician and in accordance with the current IEE
Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and Building Regulations.

Note: This Luminaire is rated to IP65, only when fitted with suitable
Gland and Rubber cable. IP65 is rated for use against dust and low
pressure water.

The bulkhead is designed for mounting in any of the
following options: –
• Surface Wall Mounting

• Surface Ceiling Mounting
1. Surface mounted options may use rear cable entry for flush
mounting or there is facility for surface Conduit ‘besa’ box
mounting or side conduit entry. (Image 1)
2. With the method of mounting chosen, remove the front
Diffuser, by undoing the three front Screws. (Image 2)

3. To remove LED tray, loosen two retaining screws,
and twist tray clockwise and remove. (Image 3)
4. This Bulkhead can be mounted on ceilings and vertical walls.
Ensure the mounting surface is suitable for installation. Once
mounting points are decided, drill out mounting holes and any
cable entry points needed.

5. Cable Entry Points must be drilled out with a 20mm bit, cleaned
of any loose burrs and fitted with a suitable IP65 gland, if the
IP65 rating is to be maintained. Otherwise the IP rating would be
reduced.

6. To maintain the IP65 rating of the bulkhead, a suitable 20mm cable
gland should be used in conjunction with rubber insulated cable
to ensure the supply cable is sealed in the gland. Failure to use a
gland and/or rubber insulated cable may result in water ingress

With the bulkhead securely fixed in the desired position, make the
electrical connection to the terminal block, observing the correct
polarity. (Image 5)
Earth = Green/yellow Sleeving
Neutral = Black (pre April 04)/ Blue (post April 04)
Live = Red (pre April 04)/ Brown (post April 04)
Once the electrical connections have been made, the gear tray can be
fitted back into position and secured by twisting Anti-clockwise and
tightening the 2no. Fixing screws.

Re-fit the front diffuser and tighten 3 securing screws. Turn on power
and operate. (Image 7)
