Spring 2017
Youth have been planting and transplanting since the end of January. They will use their profits
for various faith-building experiences.
Angel Wing Begonia, Dragon Wing
Beautiful shiny green leaves and either
red or pink flowers. Gets up to 18 inches
tall and wide. Shade or part shade. Let
dry out some between waterings. We
have red or pink.
Begonia, Bada Bing Grow in full sun to
full shade. Mounded, grows to 8" tall
and wide. Scarlet red flowers with green
foliage, the nice mounding habit of
Begonias make for a great garden border
or fill in nicely in a hanging basket.
Begonias offer color from spring through
frost in the fall. Begonias are an easy
annual to grow and are a great choice for
a part shade to shade location. Heat and
drought tolerance. They will like the
outdoors better than the greenhouse.
Butterfly weed. Attracts butterflies.
Grows to 36 inches tall. Wants full sun.

Coleus, Kong Junior Scarlet grows to

adds color to shady places. These plants
grow 12 - 14 inches tall and nearly as
wide.

Dusty Miller Showy, finely lobed
silvery-white foliage on uniform plants.
Excellent for bedding as an accent plant.
Grows to 12"s tall.
Fuchsia Angel Earrings Cascading.
Grow in part shade to full shade. Grows
to 14 inches tall and 16 inch spread.
Tolerates heat. Violet blossoms with
pink sepals. Dangling from the foliage,
just like earrings.The stamens are also
pink and the anthers change from pink to
white as they mature, resembling
sparkling diamond chips. It produces a
trailing habit. Attracts butterflies and
hummingbirds!

Geranium, Maestro Idols Sassy
Blooms prolifically with deep red
blooms. Plant in full sun great outdoor
performance that you will love. Height
and spread up to 24"s.
Geranium, Pinto has great outdoor
performance that you will love. Height
13 to 15", 11-13" spread. We have white
or red.
Impatiens, New Guinea Divine large
flowers. Excellent branching produces
masses of flowers all season long that
contrast nicely with foliage ranging from
green to bronze-green. Great for shady
or part shade area, containers or hanging
baskets. Height: 10 to 14", 12 to 14"
spread.
We have blue (more of a lavender),
scarlet, pink and white colors and a mix
that is shown here.

Impatiens, New Guinea SunPatiens.
These are really something. Impatiens
that will grow in sun or shade. They
grow 14 - 24"s tall and 12"s wide. They
tolerate summer weather and even a light
frost.
Millet Purple The corn-like plant
grows attractive deep purple foliage,
stems and flower plumes. Each plant
produce 1 to 3 main stems on tall plants
with 12 to 14" plumes, complemented by
a few secondary shoots. Under full to
partial sun, they produce the deepest
purple color with narrower leaves. Less
light produce wider and greener leaves.
Marigold, Bonanza Flame. Spread: 6 to
8 in. (15 to 20 cm) Bonanza’s double
crested flowers are the largest of any in
its type – a huge 2 to 2.5 in. (5 to 6 cm)
across – available in a wide range of
pure, intense colors. This series is faster
to flower than other crested French
marigolds, with a tight flowering
window. In the garden, the plants are
excellent performers.

Marigold, Disco Yellow have bright
single 2" blooms on compact plants. 10
- 12" tall and spreads 6 - 8". Full sun is
best.
Petnuia, Easy Wave A spreading
petunia series brings a depth of color we
haven't seen before in seed petunias.
Spreads up to 39 inches in mounds 6 12's tall. We have Berry velvet (pictured
here), white, and pink
Petnuia, Shock Wave Red these plants
fill and spill. Height 4 - 10"s and spread
up to three foot.

Petunia Supertunia 'Bubblegum'
Supertunia Vista petunias are very
vigorous, with mounding habits that can
reach up to 2 feet in height in the
landscape and will trail over the edges of
baskets and containers up to 4 feet by the
end of the season. Great for landscape
plants and in large containers, where
they function as both fillers and spillers.
In garden beds, they will work either in
the front or middle of the bed.
These are growing machines! They have
medium-sized flowers. Trails up to 36
inches. Blooms from planting to hard
frost.
Petunia, Prism Sunshine. This early
flowering All America Selection winner,
is stunning. Large, beautiful yellow
blooms with darker veining flower
profusely on healthy, bushy plants. This
yellow petunia not only looks great in
the pack, but also holds its habit well
outdoors throughout the season. Height
10 to 12", 10 to 12" spread.
Petunia, Tidal Wave Cherry.
Considered a hedgiflora petunia, this
series is an aggressive grower, forming a
shrub-like shape that holds all summer
long. It exhibits high Botrytis tolerance,
recovers quickly after rain, and resists
lodging. Excellent for landscape use and
large containers, where the masses of 2"
blooms cover the vigorous growing
plants. When spaced 12" apart, plants
make a dense mounded hedge. When
spaced 24" or more apart, plants spread
like a ground cover up to 4'. Height 1622", 30-60" spread.

Petunia, Wave Blue. Wave plants
bloom profusely without having to be
trimmed. They are suited to hanging
baskets, garden beds and mixed planters
where they provide the “spiller effect.”
Wave petunias spread 3 to 4 ft., so they
can be spaced as far as 24 in. apart.
Spacing plants closer than 12 in. can lead
to overcrowding and contribute to
disease.
Snapdragons, Snappy Mix, these are
dwarf plants in a wide range of intense
colors. Spikes are short and numerous
and so tightly packed with brilliant
blossoms that you can hardly see the
foliage. Will survive in all but extreme
cold. 6 - 8 inches high. spring favorites
are early to flower, Mixed colors.
Torenia, Duchess Mix Torenia is also
known as the Wishbone plant because of
the shape of its stamens. These are good
plants for a partial shade location..
Grows just 6-8"s tall and spreads 6 - 8"s

Torenia, Moon Rise Torenia is also

Verbena 'Merlot Mix' F2 It has A deep
wine red color flower with tiny white
eye describes this dwarf annual verbena.
Improved for its mildew resistance,
'Quartz Burgundy' will flower longer due
to this resistance. The mature plant will
spread about 15 inches in the full sun
garden. Tolerates heat and dry.
Zinnia Profusion White. Attractive 2inch blooms tolerant of harsh weather.
Simple daisy like flowers on 12 - 15 inch
plants with narrow leaves. An all
American Selection. We have white or
rose colors.

Zinnia, Zahara Mix 12 - 18 inches tall,
plants are well branched with an equal
spread. They are heat, drought and
disease tolerant. The full, bushy plants
are covered with vibrant 2 1/2 " flowers
that make a marvelous statement in
annual gardens and in containers
throughout the summer.
