PRECISE PRECISE VOLTAGE TRANSFORMER TYPE VOG PRECISE Voltage Transformers model type VOG are connected in between phase to earth to provide a proportional low voltage on secondary side. They are design to perform the following functions: 1. Measure/monitor voltage 2. Electrically isolate the instruments and relays from high voltage side 3. Measure power flow 4. Sense abnormalities in voltage for system protection Sealing: The metallic bellow is mounted on the head of transformer to compensate the oil expansion due to temperature variation practically without over-pressure or contact of oil with ambient air. On all sealing joints used are the gaskets of oil resistant synthetic rubber type NBR. Terminals: Primary Terminal A clamp – type terminal of tin plated copper for vertical connection of round conductor. : Primary Terminal N neutral point connected to outside on the top of the tank via porcelain bushing. The neutral point bushing is intended for testing purpose. : Secondary provided with M 6 stud mounted on insulation block, all located in secondary terminal box and also provided sealing cable gland at the bottom of the box. Porcelain Insulator: Is hollow, cylindrical shaped, chocolate brown glazed, of high electrically grade porcelain. Tank made of steel plates, painted with phosphate coating for rust prevention and double painted with epoxy resin paint steel. Insulation: Insulating paper is made of 100% sulphate wood pulp without additive corresponding to IEC 554. : Insulating oil is of inhibited mineral oil, with anti-oxidant additive corresponding to IEC296, ASTM3487. Core: Constructed from high grade cold rolled grain oriented silicon steel. Windings : Primary is a multi-layer coil of double – enameled copper wire insulated with insulating paper between layers and from LV parts. : Secondary is double enameled copper wire and is insulated from the core with pressboard and insulating paper.
