Organism of the Day: Snapdragon
Genus: Antirrhinum Snapdragons are perennial plants often sold as coldseason annual plants and do best in full or partial sun. Plant them in a soil that drains well to prevent the roots from rotting. Once planted, the snapdragon will grow to have either white, red, or pink flowers. Assuming Red (R) is dominant to white (r), what would you expect, to see as a result of a cross between a homozygous dominant and a homozygous recessive plant? Complete a Punnett Square to support your answer. 1

Genetics Practice Problems Part 2
Hint: Sex linked traits are traits that appear only on the X chromosome. Example, a color blind male has children with a homozygous dominant female. What are the chances their offspring will be color blind?
Instructions:
1. Work with each other to finish these problems. 2. I will come around to help you finish.
3. Once finished, turn into the inbox.
4. Begin reviewing meiosis, quiz each other on genetics problems, or read ahead in Chapter 12
