Week 1 Prehistoric Peoples
Key Targets:
I can explain the difference between Paleolithic and Neolithic.
I can describe how prehistoric people adapted to their environment.
I can analyze how scientists study the past.
Standards:
SS M 5.1.2 Primary sources, secondary sources, artifacts, and time lines are essential tools in the study
and interpretation of history
POS-SS-H-3 Analyze the social, political, and economic changes in human societies in historical eras prior
to 1500 A.D. (Early Human Communities, Early Civilizations and Empires, Western Europe and
Feudalism, Middle Ages, Age of Exploration).

consequences in daily living.


Week 2-5 Agricultural Revolution and Mesopotamia
Key Targets:
I can identify changes in the lives of people during the Paleolithic and Neolithic age.
I can understand how domestication created a stable food supply and led to important changes in the
lives of humans in early civilizations.
I can describe the development of agricultural techniques and technology in early civilizations.
I can analyze the achievements of people and civilizations in ancient river valley civilizations.
I can identify and examine major achievements of empires within Mesopotamia.
Standards:
