Prostate cancer Defeating Prostate Cancer that Spread to the Pelvic Lymph Nodes All it took was fucoidan [Keiichi Ninomiya, Unemployed, male, 77 years old, Saga City, Saga, Japan (a testimonia from the son)] My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer two years ago, in the summer. He began having difficulty passing urine and found a lump near the prostate (around the base of his penis). He spent a night in the hospital, receiving various tests such as a tumor marker called PSA, as well as ultrasound and pharmacological tests. The result was that he had a progressive cancer that had already spread to the pelvic lymph nodes. It was in the D1 stage and the doctor decided on antiandrogenic therapy in view of my father’s age. My father was quite shocked when he learned of his cancer. I was surprised, too. I worried whether drugs alone would cure his cancer, without surgery. The doctor assured my father that he should be patient and wait for the therapeutic effect to show while leading a normal life. I was still worried, though. I remember feeling relieved when I found some literature in a library that said fifty percent of prostate cancer patients would “survive five years or longer”. My father was clearly suffering a great deal of pain, because he began frowning from time to time. He is a person who won’t give up on things easily, so I suspected he was hiding his agony. His appetite had decreased, too, and quite often he would leave his favorite dish of dried fish. The drug the hospital prescribed was called bicalutamide, but I didn’t know how much of an effect it was having on my father. Two weeks after the first examination, we returned to the hospital. The second tumor marker test found that the condition of cancer remained the same. “I hope it won’t spread to the bones”, the doctor murmured. I became very nervous. That day, my father collapsed into his bed immediately after returning home. We had driven him to the hospital, but even a short ride was enough to exhaust him. It was that day when my wife suggested fucoidan, which she had read about in a health magazine. According to the article, it was a health food with cancer-healing effects. Since it was made of natural mekabu and mozuku, there were no side effects. We decided to give it a try, because it was better than doing nothing. To be honest, I didn’t believe fucoidan could really cure cancer. My father heeded our advice and took fucoidan without protest. That was unlike my father, who hated to be ordered around by others. I guess he had endured enough suffering already. Initially he took three capsules a day, but the following day he began taking the same amount three times a day. Within a week he was taking five capsules each time, three times a day. He must have felt subtle changes in his body. To my surprise, my father soon began walking around in the house. It was about two weeks after he started taking fucoidan. He said sharp pains in his lower abdomen were subsiding. The next examination at the hospital found a significant drop in the tumor marker level, and we were tremendously encouraged. In a month or so, he was passing urine more normally. A steady recovery followed over the next two years, and now his tumor marker level is completely normal. The last examination also found that his cancer was no longer present on the ultrasound image. The doctor told my father to keep taking the hormone, and he replied with an obedient “Yes”. On our way back home in a car, however, my father said, “I haven’t taken the hormone for nearly six months”, and then gave a loud laugh. I looked at him speechless in joyful amazement. We are truly impressed by the power of fucoidan. Website: www.fucoidan.com.vn Although the cancer had metastasized to bones, I now find my PSA level dropping every time I check it. [Muneyuki Nakajima, Farmer, male, 63 years old, Ise City, Mie, Japan] When did you find out about your cancer? My health deteriorated in January of this year. I tried various drugs and visited hospitals, but the condition did not get better at all. Came February, I began passing blood in my urine. I visited the urological department of a hospital and received a detailed examination. As a result, I was diagnosed with a type of “prostate cancer” called “moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma”. My tumor marker for prostate cancer, or PSA, was as high as 170, and what was worse, my bone scintigraphy also found multiple bone metastasis. What treatment did you receive? When they told me that I had cancer, I was prepared to receive an operation and go through cancer treatments. After discussing with my doctor about various options, however, we decided not to operate on my cancer or use radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Of course, I still had to receive a hormone treatment once a month to keep the cancer from progressing further. I still continue with my hormone treatment. When did you start taking “fucoidan”? After I decided to fight my cancer through health food and supplements, I did an extensive research and found that “fucoidan” would work well for me and I quickly purchased it . I thought that fucoidan would help me carry on with my life as normal without being constantly reminded of my disease, while curing the cancer in a natural way. Of course, my physical strength was so low at the time, and it was difficult and painful to do anything. Needles to say, I couln’t do any farming work. I began taking “fucoidan” on March 21. I took 9 to 10 capsules daily. How was your progress? In the test I received one month after I began my fucoidan therapy, my PSA tumor marker dropped to as low 31. How could it drop so much ? I couldn’t help but think that this was a miracle. As I was relieved, I found myself felling hungry again, and my physical strength gradually increased. I grow flowers at an iris nursery. By April, I had regained Enough strength to do some weeding. I refrained from tasks that required me to move intensively, but I could do light day-to-day labor work at the nursery. The normal range of PSA is 3.5 or less. My PSA level measured on June 3 was 1.7, and it dropped to 1.1 on July 1. The level still remained at 1.2 on July 29. I was amazed about the drastic improvements. They sai that “ fucoidan” has the effects of “enchancing immunity”, leading cancer to “apoptosis”,and “preventing”new blood vessels from forming “. I learned with my own body that fucoidan indeed does these things. How do you feel now ? I switched from the capsule type to powder type of “fucoidan” for a while, but switched back to capsules subsequently. It looks like the capsule type work better on me. My PSA level to dropped Website: www.fucoidan.com.vn to 0.5 in September, and to as low as 0.2 in October. I’m now taking only five capsules of “fucoidan” a day, but I don’t see any problem at all. I believe I have recovered to the stage where, judging from my appearance, no one can tell that I have cancer. I’m physically fit , as well. I was able to have my flowers bloom beautifully this year. Now, I’m weeding the fields, digging up lotus roots and changing mud to prepare for the next year. I certainly enjoy my health as I go about my work. I’m glad that I found this wonderful health food. The other day, I learned that someone I know was also diagnosed with prostate cancer with bone metastasis. Of course, I recommended him to take “fucoidan”. Advice from Dr. Tachikawa Prostate cancer is one form of cancer that is quickly becoming a major disease in Japan as the Japanese begin to eat more western type of food. The earlier the cancer is discovered, the greater the chances will become that is can be treated. In the case of Mr. Nakajima, clearly his cancer was in an advanced stage because there was born metastasis. This was why he received hormone drugs to suppress the replication of cancer cells. It is understandable from the viewpoint of QOL (Quanlity Of Life) that his doctor decided not to perform a surgery on him to remove the cancer or put him through chemotherapy. Mr. Nakajima decided to take “fucoidan” along with the hormone therapy. It is just astonishing to learn that his PSA level dropped so dramatically. However, a long-term administration of hormone drugs can affect the cardiovascular system and may even cause myocardial infarction or cerebral infarction. Mr. Nakajima should exercise caution as he continues with his hoemone therapy. Lowering tumor marker and regaining appetite even without undergoing any operation and anticancer treatment. [Yasunari Motoki, 86 years old, Retired, Saitama City, Saitama by his son] <Interview by the physician> When were you diagnosed with prostate cancer? In May of this year, my father had stared to complain about pain whenever he urinated, and I had him examined at the hospital. After various exams, we were told he had prostate cancer. Because the cancer was limited to only one side of prostate, and because my father was old, we decided that he wouldn’t undergo an operation to remove the cancer. Since prostate cancer in itself progress slowly, the doctor judged that it was better not to recklessly remove it. He had stage B cancer. When treatment did he take? It was decided that he would take an anti-androgenic drug once four weeks. However, after the first dosage caused too great a burden on his impaired hepatic fuction and on his heart, this therapy was cancelled. According to the doxtor, “we will observe his condition, but if the progression of cancer is detected, we will consider another therapy at that time. “This was based on the idea that he was in for a long acquaintance with cancer, but at that time I thought, that “might be the way”. However, around the same time, my father started to lose hia appetite day by day, and we noticed he was losing weight. Website: www.fucoidan.com.vn When did he start taking “fucoidan”? One of my father’s friends had cancer, and we heard that he gotten better by taking “fucoidan”. So I requested the sales materials, and he started taking “fucoidan”. He’s been taking it for three months. He started taking agaricus as well. He takes the liquid type of “fucoidan”, four bottles a day. It took like it was hard for him to take agaricus, but it was easy for him to drink “fucoidan”. How is his condition since then? Twenty days after beginning the regimen, he regained his appetite. I was happy when he said he was hungry and asked something to eat. When he first had his examinations at the hospital, the result of the tumor marker known as PSA was 7.5; but at an exam on month after starting the “fucoidan”, it had gone down to 4.0. And now two months later, his PSA level is at 3.5, which is in the normal range. The doctor said, “the canccer still remains inside him, so you can’t take it too easy, yet. But considering how he is now, there is world of difference form how he was when the cancer was diagnosed. It seems that he no longer has nay pain urinating, and he can enjoy his meals. I do not know how to say it, but even from my of view, I can tell that energy has come back. Advice from Dr. Tachikawa “Prostate cancer” has been a major cancer in the western world for many years. Recently, however, cases of prostate cancer are also increasing in Japan due to changing diet, for one reason. Prostate cancer develops in males in their 50s, and the incidence rate increases among those in their 70s or older. Since prostate cancer progresses relatively slowly, therapies having significant stress on the body are avoided for elderly patients, especially those with a heart condition. In the case of Patient Motoki, the drop in the “tumor marker” level is a good news. However, lowering of the tumor marker to the normal level or below doesn’t mean the cancer is gone. It only provides one indicator. The purpose of tumor marker test is to aid the diagnosis and the assessment of the effect of treatment.
