The ASA/NCTM Joint Committee on
the Curriculum in Statistics and
Probability and the American
Statistical Association's Center for
Statistics Education encourage
students to participate in its
annual Poster Competition.
This Slam Dunk has been designed
to help you organize your ideas,
create your poster and finally,
compete in this yearly contest.

Remember, your poster dimensions need to be between 8 and 24
inches high and 24 and 30 inches wide (no larger).
Remember to structure your poster with the following
information:




What is your focus question?
What data did you collect that is relevant to
the focus question?
How did you analyze the data?
What conclusions were drawn by the data?
Check your poster against the grading rubric
Committees of distinguished statisticians and dedicated
teachers of statistics meet each year to evaluate entries.

Your poster needs to be postmarked by April 1
to the address below.
There is no entry fee.
Do not send posters rolled in a tube.
Multiple entries may be mailed together but
must have separate registration forms.
