-Consists in Milk, Liver, Orange Fruits
(Cantalope, Carrots Sweet Potatoes), and
Dark Green leafy vegetables (Kale)

Dairy, Beans, and Green Veggies

-Consists in Citrus Fruits, Cantalope,
Strawberries, Tomatoes, Broccoli, Cabbage,
Kiwi, Peppers, Spinach
Minerals
• Two Types of Minerals
Macrominerals, and Trace Minerals
• Trace Minerals
• Means little Minerals in it some examples are iron,
copper iodine and flouride
• Macrominerals
• The main Macro Mineral is Calcium
• Calcium
• Consists in Dairy, Fish, and leafy green Vegetables
Water
• To live your body needs two things to survive
oxygen, and water.
• Water has no Calories or Carbs
• Water makes up half of your Body weight and our
bodies are around 80% water
• You cant survive for over a few days without water
• It is the second most necisary chemical to our body
• If you are playing sports water is the best thing to
drink
Fats
• Are a component in foods
• Don’t exsist in most fruits and veggies
• Three types of fats
o Trans Fats
o Saturated Fats
o Unsaturated

Unsaturated are found in Plants and Fish
Trans Fats are found in unhealthy snacks
Saturated are found in meats and dairy products
The recommended percent of fat is 30%
Protein

Builds and repairs tissue in your muscles
Protein is rich in amino acids
Immune system is mostly made up of protein
Two types of protein Complete and Imcomplete
Complete protein you get out of meats
o Called complete because it contains all nine amino acids
• Incomplete protein you get out of veggies
o You can’t get all of the amino acids out of incomplete protein
• You can get all of the amino acids you need out of
veggies if you eat enough vegetables
Carbs
• Two types of carbs
o Simple
o Complex
Simple carbs are usually simple sugars
Complex Carbs are usually starches
Carbs are used as a source of energy
If too many carbs are consumed your body cannot
use the sugars for energy so it turns them into fat
• Scientists have linked eating to many carbs to heart
disease
• When you eat carbs the body realeases a hormone
called insulin

Fibre
• Helps with Constapation
• Two types of fibre
o Soluble
o Insoluble
• Soluble dissolves in water
o Is also Proven to lower cholesteral
• Insoluble does not dissolve in water
o Helps with constapation
• Fibre is found in many whole grain foods
