Financial software development
We are looking for talented software developers to work with SimCorp’s financial
modelling language - based on Ocaml.
SimCorp Dimension is one of the leading investment management systems in the
world, and is used by financial institutions and equity funds on all international
and financial markets today.
Our Application Development Department consists of approximately 100
employees divided into seven development groups. You will be part of a dedicated
team of five developers, responsible for all new development within Simcorp’s
modelling language for financial instruments.
Mathematics, financial theory and system development
You will be working directly with the financial modelling language and the API
associated with it. The modelling language is based on OCaml, but the interface
to SimCorp Dimension is written in C#.
The team delivers the financial instruments, calculations and workflow for
SimCorp Dimension. You will participate actively in all parts of the development
processes; planning and design, development and test, as well as support.
Furthermore, as part of a large and professional development department, you
will work closely together with colleagues from other development groups.
We imagine that you:







have a financial, economic, scientific or IT education on Master’s level
have some experience with functional programming (Ocaml, Haskell, SML,
etc), e.g. from your studies – knowledge of other programming languages,
particularly Microsoft .NET and C#, is considered a plus
are willing to acquire new skills within the technical/programming areas
are used to deadlines and take pride in delivering a good solution
are willing to learn more about financial products and pricing models
are fluent in written and spoken English
are willing to accept a placement with our business partner in Paris for up
to six months
