Dual Technology (DT) & PIR Occupancy Sensors
– Diversa dual technology sensors are class leading sensors that
outperform the competition*
– Diversa PIR sensors fill the need for projects requiring a commercial
grade sensor which is easy to use & easy to install
*Fewer false triggers due to HVAC, music, vibration, traffic and lower power consumption

Function/Mode
Description
PIR
DT
Occupancy | Vacancy
Auto-ON / Auto-OFF | Manual-ON / Auto-OFF


Photo Sensing - P models
Inhibits Turn ON when adequate natural lighting occurs


Walk-through Mode
A three minute time-delay is applied if a second occupancy event fails to occur
within 30 seconds of Turn ON.


Long Vacancy Mode
Forced, two-hour Turn OFF delay in the absence of any PIR sensing events
Auto Mode
Activated when Time Delay Dial is set to Auto. sensor learns occupancy patterns
and automatically adjusts time delay.

Restroom Mode (2-pole)
Synchronized Turn ON for both poles; delayed Turn OFF for Pole #2, which is
intended for controlling a fan

Light Level Mode (closed loop
dimming) - DP models
0-10V output used to control light level as needed to maintain desired
illumination level.


LED ON/OFF
Option to turn off sensing indicator LEDs






On-board Switches and Dial
Drive Douglas relay though diode
pulse (low voltage)
Rectified-pulse controlled latching relays
Smart Sense
Although a PIR event is normally required for Turn ON, an ADI-Voice event will do
so for a short period after Turn OFF
Manual Switch Disable
Option to disable manual control on switch-mounted sensors

Dual Technology Advantages
PIR with ADI-Voice
• Best combination of user
convenience and energy savings
• Fewer false triggers than other
Secondary Technologies
Power Consumption
• ADI-Voice is a passive technology
so it consumes significantly less
power than ultrasonic (Active)
technology
|
13
PIR Advantages
Installation & Configuration
• Pre-configured at factory for easy
“wire and it works” installation
