Sensors Wally Creer Director of Product Management, Systems Products | 1 Dual Technology (DT) & PIR Occupancy Sensors – Diversa dual technology sensors are class leading sensors that outperform the competition* – Diversa PIR sensors fill the need for projects requiring a commercial grade sensor which is easy to use & easy to install *Fewer false triggers due to HVAC, music, vibration, traffic and lower power consumption | 2 Technology Overview | 3 Passive Infrared Sensing | 4 ADI-Voice* Sensing • • • • Proprietary Listens for vowels Advanced digital signal processing Minimizes false triggers: – – – – HVAC Music Vibration Traffic * Patent pending | 5 Product Overview | 6 Corner Mount Sensors – WOW Series • Two-Pole, Dual Technology, Low Voltage Only • Mounts to flat surfaces – walls, sloped ceilings, ceilings • Ball and socket design: – flexibility in mounting and optimizing sensor position • 2 lens options: Angle Range Mounting Height (typ). Corner (C) 90° 70 ft 7-15ft Large Area (L) 130° 60 ft 7-15ft Lens • Options: – DPR 0-10V dimming; photo sensor; auxiliary relay | 7 Recessed Ceiling Sensor - WOR Series • • • • Extremely low profile (22mm or .88”) Tilt lens 120/277Vac, 347Vac, low voltage (24Vac) Lens ranges: – Standard (S), Extended (X), High Bay (B) • Options: – – – – – 1 or 2-poles 0-10v dimming (D) Photo Sensor (P) Auxiliary relay (R) Low Temp/High Humidity | 8 Wall Switch – WOS Series • • • • • Manual Override Switch Vandal Resistant lens Fits industry standard face plates 120/277Vac, 347Vac, low voltage (24Vac) Options: – – – – – 1 or 2-poles 0-10v dimming (D) Photo Sensor (P) Auxiliary relay (R) Colors – (not stocked – orders for large quantities can be placed with 12-16 week lead time) *Switch plates not included with sensors | 9 Power Packs • For use with Diversa low voltages sensors • 24Vac power supply with relay • Loads controlled with wall switch or through sensor • 120/277Vac or 347Vac models • 1 or 2-pole models • Supports up to 8 low voltage sensors | 10 Diversa Sensors Recessed Ceiling Sensor (WOR) Wall Switch Sensor (WOS) Corner Mount Sensor (WOW) Dual Technology PIR Only 120/277VAC 347VAC 24VAC - Low Voltage | 11 Function/Mode Description PIR DT Occupancy | Vacancy Auto-ON / Auto-OFF | Manual-ON / Auto-OFF Photo Sensing - P models Inhibits Turn ON when adequate natural lighting occurs Walk-through Mode A three minute time-delay is applied if a second occupancy event fails to occur within 30 seconds of Turn ON. Long Vacancy Mode Forced, two-hour Turn OFF delay in the absence of any PIR sensing events Auto Mode Activated when Time Delay Dial is set to Auto. sensor learns occupancy patterns and automatically adjusts time delay. Restroom Mode (2-pole) Synchronized Turn ON for both poles; delayed Turn OFF for Pole #2, which is intended for controlling a fan Light Level Mode (closed loop dimming) - DP models 0-10V output used to control light level as needed to maintain desired illumination level. LED ON/OFF Option to turn off sensing indicator LEDs On-board Switches and Dial Drive Douglas relay though diode pulse (low voltage) Rectified-pulse controlled latching relays Smart Sense Although a PIR event is normally required for Turn ON, an ADI-Voice event will do so for a short period after Turn OFF Manual Switch Disable Option to disable manual control on switch-mounted sensors | 12 Dual Technology Advantages PIR with ADI-Voice • Best combination of user convenience and energy savings • Fewer false triggers than other Secondary Technologies Power Consumption • ADI-Voice is a passive technology so it consumes significantly less power than ultrasonic (Active) technology | 13 PIR Advantages Installation & Configuration • Pre-configured at factory for easy “wire and it works” installation Specs • Great for competitive SPEC projects where PIR is called for Colors • White Positioning • Competitively featured and priced • Some items stocked • Ivory, Grey, Black • Not stocked | 14 Configuration on PIR | 15 Support Materials | 16 Available Materials Installation Guide / Cut Sheet - PIR Cut Sheet / Installation Guide - Dual Technology | 17 Brochure • Guide to PIR and Dual Technology Sensors • PDF will be available on website • Hardcopy available | 18 Sensors Product Page • Website includes: – – – Cut Sheets Manuals Coverage patterns • Visit: www.unvlt.com/products/wiringdevices-sensors/ | 19 Thank You | 20
