Experian Consumer Services (ECS) is the consumer arm of Experian and looks to reunite personal information
with the consumer to help them take control of it and make sure it represents them in the best possible way.
ECS provides credit monitoring, fraud protection and identity management to over 13 million consumers in the
US and UK. Our business is high growth with millions of transactions and touch-points and great opportunities to
become more relevant for more people in the future.
Purpose
The Data Analytics Manager for Consumer Services will be responsible for supporting and helping to drive the
data analytics strategy, helping stakeholders to realise revenue growth and drive cost efficiencies through value
creating analytics. In addition the data analytics manager will motivate and support team members to ensure the
successful transfer of best practice and knowledge, team development needs are met and external customer
expectations are consistently reached.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities










Provide analytics that drive strategic decisions for Interactive on product, proposition, marketing and
operations
Successfully support the Experian Interactive propositions through the application of data mining and
advanced statistical techniques.
Successfully support Interactive data strategy to drive long term revenue and EBIT growth.
Develop one direct report to ensure abilities are nurtured to ensure team development and there are analytical
improvements across the wider team
Help manage data mining and web analytics tools (as well as 3rd party suppliers).
Identify and help implement the collection and analysis of new data sources that drive fresh insights and new
product developments.
Support and mentor the team in the successful application of data mining techniques, transforming analytics
data into insightful and actionable recommendations which supports effective commercial decision making.
Through the provision of analytical consultancy, support the Sales & Marketing team to maximise new
business volumes and profitability from marketing campaigns.
Through the provision analytical consultancy, support the Product & Proposition team to optimise the web site
by providing a deeper understanding of customer behaviour which generates key actions to improve customer
acquisition and retention.
Support the team in working with the Customer Insight team to develop segmentation and profiling of
customers to inform strategic decisions by senior management.
3. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential





Proven experience of data and / or web analytics experience including working experience of industry
standard tools, for example: SPSS, SAS, SQL, Cognos, Hyperion, Google Analytics, Omniture, Web
Trends and Lynchpin
Some programming and modeling experience (both theory and on the job) is a requisite requirement for
the role
Track record of supporting data strategy to support long term revenue and KPI’s
Experience of leading and coaching analytical team members preferable
Experience of supporting the development of data analytics functions and capabilities to drive new








products and propositions
The ability to support strategy at a Senior Management level
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with advanced knowledge of data mining techniques and
analysis of large data sets incorporating both quantitative and qualitative information
An expert understanding of relational databases and data interrogation techniques with the ability to
identify, combine and extract relevant data sets from various sources
A proven track record of managing multiple, simultaneous, complex, multi-functional projects to tight
deadlines
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to translate complex analysis into
well structured, action orientated presentations, recommendations and insights at a senior management
level
Strong interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and collaborative approach to meeting new challenges
Experience with marketing databases, segmentation, clustering, profiling and modeling tools in
conjunction with web analytics
Experience preferred of developing and running both A/B and multivariate testing strategies.
