World History – Mr. Williams
COURSE INTRODUCTION:
Welcome to World History. Throughout this course, you will learn about the
themes, history, and cultures of world history that extent from ancient civilizations until
the 21st century. You will be required to complete reading and writing assignments outside
of class so that you may thoroughly understand the classwork material. This course is an
excellent opportunity for you to develop your own ideas about the “how” and “why’s” of
events that have shaped the world today. To this end, you will be given the opportunity to
participate in class activities which will help you refine your ideas about World History
through the free exchange of ideas. Obviously, class participation is an important
