Architecture
To honor their gods, the Greeks built massive temples seen as the homes of their deities; these

strength, showing the principle of “nothing to excess.” The Parthenon is the best example of this.
The central feature to Greek architecture is the column. Greek columns are classified into three
types, pictured below.
