Defination of verb
•Verb is a doing word.
•A verb is a word which
says something about a
person or a thing.
Classification of verbs
Mainly verb is divided two classes
1. Finite verb- 2. Nonfinite verb
Finite verb again two classes
A.Auxiliary verb –Am.Is.
Are.was.were.shall.will.may.might.etc.
B.Principal verb- Reard.do.
Speak.write.see.run.know.make.etc.
B. Non- finite verbs
1. Infinitives- to come, to see, to run
etc.
2. Participles- carrying, broken,
having done etc.
3. Gerunds- swimming,enjoying etc.
Present to past form
Bring, see,
shoot,teach,
make,love
,know,think,
give,fly etc.
Brought,saw,shot,
taught,made,
loved,knew,
thought,gave,flew
etc.
